This course was created by John and Winnie Melesh. John Melesh has been working in the construction industry for over 30 years. John and Winnie launched Melesh Construction as a new homebuilder in 1984, completing 253 homes in Maryland. In 1989 Melesh began insurance restoration work. To date, they have completed over 4,500 insurance restoration jobs. Melesh Construction participates in a number of insurance direct repair programs and preferred contractor programs. After mastering this niche of the remodeling business, the Meleshes developed this course as the most convenient, effective way to allow other contractors to quickly learn how to succeed at insurance restoration work.
John and Winnie are also co-hosts of "The Disastrous Duo" radio show. Targeted at homeowners, the show provides useful, practical information about property insurance claims, including ways to reduce risks of damage and what to do and what to expect if an insurance loss occurs. The show currently runs on WBIS Baltimore/Annapolis 1190 AM and has been picked up by a station in northern Virginia as well.
Active members of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), the Meleshes will be speaking at the NARI Remodeler's Show in Chicago, October 18-21 2006, and Winnie has been appointed to NARI's DC metro chapter education committee.
